Yes, there is a lot of information to gather for your Family Record Book…more than you ever wanted to know.  It is, after all, the breadth of knowledge about the mechanics and logistics of your life that your best friend had in his or her head which helped make your life what it is.

A word of caution:  This book does not deal with family politics or even greedy hands, if they exist, but rather with the issues of running your finances and your home, as well as some pointers on downsizing.  It is important for you to know whom to trust.
